About Us:

Carol Grimes founded Adosa Wellness in 2022 with the vision of creating a space to support and inspire your yoga and wellness journey, offering thoughtfully planned classes, a nourishing community, and an exceptional teaching team.

The name of the studio, Adosa, is a word that has roots in both Sanskrit and Pali and is loosely translated as “friendship.” In the presence of Adosa, others’ well-being is always considered, its character is unhurting in nature, and it represents true acceptance and loving kindness.

Our philosophy is to:

  • Embrace mindful movement and approach wellness from a lens of self-care and acceptance
  • Reconnect to and strengthen the intuition and wisdom that naturally lives within the body
  • Practice in an easeful and rewarding way to help the body and mind feel relaxed, alive and vibrant

About Carol:

Adosa’s founder, Carol Grimes, RYT, MPH, has been a yoga, meditation, and self-care teacher for 10 years. She has helped hundreds of students experience the nourishing and healing aspects of yoga with her therapeutic and accessible approach backed by research. She specializes in healing through movement, the deeper spiritual practices of yoga, and yoga for joint health.
